Frequently Asked Questions
Some of the most common questions we are asked when it comes to website design are listed below:
1. How long does it take for a website to be completed?
The timescale of a project is generally dictated by the size of the project. If you have a deadline in mind we will endeavour to meet it for you. The most common delay in the creation of a website is waiting for content (text / photos) to be sent to us by the client. A basic website can be completed in a couple of weeks, but more advanced websites can take a few months.
2. We would like you to design our website, what is the process?
If you would like to use our services all you need to do is to inform us of the domain name you would like to use, and send us a brief idea of your requirements. We'll then purchase the domain in your name, suggest a suitable hosting package for your project and then based on your input, design an initial 'look and feel' web page for you.
3. How much will our website cost?
The cost of a website varies; there are several factors that determine the cost such as the type of website you require, number of pages / categories / products, any advanced options selected, etc. Once we have established all your requirements we will provide you with a detailed quote for the project. You can Request a Quote Online here.
We request a 40% deposit for all standard sites. The balance of payment is then due upon completion of the project (larger database driven projects may require further sub-payments).
4. Do we need to buy a domain name and web hosting for our website?
No, we do all of that for you.
We offer various monthly web hosting packages, and we will suggest the most suitable for your project.
5. What do we get for our money?
All our designs are developed based on your requirements. We don't use ready-made templates: all our websites are designed from scratch. We design your website according to your custom requirements; this will result in a website that will represent your image and your products / services. We aim to give all of our clients 'value for money' websites. You get a complete solution.
6. What happens when we complete your online enquiry form?
If you are making an online enquiry about a possible website you would like created, kindly provide a brief outline of your requirements. We will then email you back as soon as possible with an idea of the cost, together with suggestions with regards to your project.
7. How do we get listed in Google?
We submit your website to all the major search engines including Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc.
8. What is website optimisation?
All web pages should be 'optimised' for the search engines. This will enable your website to gain a higher search engine ranking; we take several factors into consideration to help ensure that your website can be found (dynamic factors that are particular to your website's content). A web page that isn't optimised won't appear in the search engines to any great degree. We design all our websites with high search engine optimisation (SEO) standards.
9. Will we need to have a meeting?
Not necessarily; we can meet and chat to get a feel for your business but with technology today, we can finish your website by only being in contact via email and telephone.
